A Day in Your Life X the Home Project, July 2022, Athens
Established competition founded by BAFTA artist Alison Jackson travels outside the UK to Greece. A Day in Your Life aims to introduce photography, and arts education to children and young adults from disadvantageous backgrounds or with ones facing learning challenges. The competition partners with the Home Project the nonprofit organization with the mission to care for unaccompanied children whose families and lives are wrecked by war and persecution, empowering them to persevere and grow into active citizens. The Home Project rescues children from the streets, camps, police stations and other welcoming them in their homes... Alison Jackson has run in July 2022, three day workshops produced and managed by Marina Nicoletopoulos, with the young women and men staying at the home project. Teaching them photography and having mentoring talks with the individuals, the unique photographs have been produced by the young adults on the topic a day in your life, scrolling, in the city of Athens engaging in different activities. Participants were able to share some of their favorite areas of Athens, work with a professional model, and discover and observe new communities, work one to one with Alison Jackson.

Images have been shot with a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra phone camera.
Working with Constantinos, Petros and Dimitris Sofikitis on the exhibition “Opposite or Next” the breathtaking photographs were taken at Lake Kerkini , an artificial reservoir in Central Macedonia, Greece that was created in 1932, and then redeveloped in 1980 The exhibition was presented in Athens in May 2022
